Meredith Kump reached her 100th career win on Jan. 3, adding yet another achievement to an already impressive resume. She went to place 6th at state last year and has committed to Doane University, a Division 3 program, to continue her wrestling career.

Throughout the season, Kump consistently proved herself against top competition. At the Bubba Randles Winter Classic, she entered the season as the first seed and finished as such, showcasing her ability to perform under pressure. She followed up with a third-place finish at Center Point, where she faced Addilyn Moses, a freshman from Prairie High School. Moses had a 27-10 record and later claimed first place at Cedar Falls, once again as the top seed.

Kump also qualified for Fargo, a national-level tournament widely regarded as one of the toughest stages in high school wrestling. Qualification requires a top finish at state, regional freestyle or Greco-Roman competition or previous national success, an accomplishment that highlights Mereidth’s status.
