Spirit Stick Competition Is Back

On March 25, 2022, Kennedy students get the chance to compete in a school dodgeball tournament, an event for all grades to enjoy.

The tournament will be in the main gym from 6 to 8 p.m.

This event will be the first chance for students to gain a sense of normalcy again since COVID-19. December 2019 was the last time the spirit stick was given out. This is the first year classes of 2024 and 2025 will get the chance to win it.

Each grade is allowed two teams of twenty. Wristbands for the competitors will be distributed at the gate when they arrive at the tournament.

Students not participating and parents are encouraged to come and cheer as well. Spectators will be able to purchase a ticket at the gate for $3.

The tournament is not only for Cougars to gain a sense of normalcy; it is an opportunity to raise money for each grade’s senior prom.

“I am really hoping people participate in the dodgeball tournament as I know personally I have missed things like pep assemblies” said Junior Class President Regan Murphy.
