Kickin’ cancer

This Thursday the girls’ soccer team will be playing their annual Kickin’ Cancer game against Linn-Mar where both Kennedy and Linn-Mar come together to fight cancer. For this years’ game Kennedy will be honoring 2012 grad Nick Appleget who was just diagnosed with cancer in his leg. Appleget was a pitcher for the baseball team last season and helped the Cougars to a state semi-final appearance.

For the game Kennedy will be wearing Carolina blue warm-up shirts that say “Kennedy’s Kickin’ Cancer” on the front along with Appleget on the back. These T-shirts are avaible to the public for $10-12. E-mail [email protected] or [email protected] if you are interested in buying a shirt. Students will need to place their order for the T-shirt by this Monday and pay for it by Wednesday.
