FOOTBALL: The football team lost a hard fought battle to 42nds street rival Xavier on Friday, 35-0. Senior Alex Hillyer continued to run the ball great, running for 82 yards on 21 carries.

 

Coming up: They have the homecoming game this Friday against Jefferson.

 

GOLF: The golf team won the Mississippi Division golf meet by a commanding 50 strokes over runner up Jefferson. Sophomore Connor Koeberg was the 54 hole meet medalist with a score of 223 strokes.

 

Coming up: they have a meet against Prairie on Thursday.

 

SWIMMING: Junior Hannah Botkin kept her 50 freestyle winning streak alive and she won the race with a time of 25.62 in the swim meet this past Saturday.

 

Coming up: They have a meet Saturday at Cedar Falls.

 

VOLLEYBALL: The Volleyabll team defeated Jefferon last night 25-12, 25-8, 25-15. They improved their record on the year to 13-9.

 

Coming up: They will travel down to Waterloo East Thursday for a match.

 

WOMENS XC: The Womens’ cross country team continued their dominance this season by winning the Iowa City West Invitational yesterday placing four runners in the top eight. Senior Katie Womple lead the cougars with a time of 14:31.

 

Coming up: They have a MVC meet Thursday October 4th.

 

MENS XC: The Men’s cross country team placed 7th in the Iowa City West Invitational. Sophmore Ryan Walker lead the way with the cougars with a time of 16:54.
