FOOTBALL: The Football team lost a hard fought battle to Washington 17-6 on Friday night at Kingston Stadium. Senior Alex Hillyer lead the way for the Cougars running the ball 20 times for a total of 136 yards.

Coming Up: The Cougars will try to turn it around as they face Prairie this Friday at Kingston Stadium.

GOLF: The Cougar golf team had another impressive showing shooting two over par 146 at Gardner golf course to defeat Washington. Senior Harrison Moore led the way for Kennedy with an impressive one under par. Sophomore Connor Koberg also chipped in with a solid even par.

Coming up:  The Men’s golf team has a home golf meet this week at Ellis golf course here in Cedar Rapids. They also host the CRANDIC on Tuesday.

SWIMMING: The Girls swim team lost a close race to Linn-Mar, only losing by six points, 96-90. Sophomore Sam Jacobsen was stellar for the Cougars winning both the 100 free and 100 backstroke. Her time in the 100 backstroke was the fourth fastest time recorded in the state to date.

Coming Up: They will take on Cedar Falls at home Tuesday, September 4th.

VOLLEYBALL: The Volleyball team had a tough matchup against the number one ranked Iowa City High Little Hawks. The Cougars fought hard but came up short in the end losing 3-1 (25-11 16-25 25-10 25-17). Senior Lexi Rodgers had three aces in the game.

Coming Up: They will travel down to Valley High school in Des Moines for a varsity tournament on Saturday.
