I interviewed Jayci Kvach. She is a freshman at Kennedy this year, and she is also a member of the marching band.

Q: Why do you like Kennedy?
A: Because it’s fun.

Q: How has your year at Kennedy been so far?
A: Fine, I haven’t died.

Q: Do you like Kennedy more, less, or the same as your middle school?
A: About the same so far, school is school.

Q: What were you scared of when you first got to Kennedy?
A: That I would get lost and be late to all my classes.

Q: How do you feel about school lunch this year as opposed to middle school?
A: It’s a lot better.

Q: How do you feel about the labels used on people here?
A: Very hurtful. People should all have the right to be treated the same.

Q: Why do you like marching band?
A: Because I love music and it’s a great way to get into shape.

Q: What’s it like to be a part of a team?
A: It’s amazing; you meet tons of new people who help you out.

Q: How much time do you spend on marching band?
A: About an hour a night, plus games and practices.

Q: What are your goals for graduation?
A: To do the best I can, achieve a good life, and go to college.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to say?
A: I like cheese.
