Senior Ella Moser Hits 1,000 Points In Her High School Basketball Career.

Chadron State commit senior Ella Moser becomes the ninth player in Kennedy Women’s Basketball history to break the 1,000-point benchmark in her last high school game against Iowa City West on Feb. 22, 2025.

To qualify for the state tournament, the Cougars took on the Trojans but fell short 69-49. However, with ten points, seven rebounds and one assist, Moser hit 1,000 points.

“Hitting 1,000 points has been one of my goals since freshman year so seeing and feeling myself accomplish that goal felt amazing,” Moser said.

Although reaching 1,000 points is a special moment, Moser still has other life-long memories to look back on.

“Something that I will always remember is the type of friendships and memories I made over the years,” Moser said. “I will definitely remember some basketball parts but I feel like the memories with my teammates is what I will remember mostly.”

Moser has made an impact on the Kennedy’s Girls Basketball program and will continue to motivate the team with her legacy for years to come.

“My advice for any future cougars would be to have fun and enjoy every moment you get because it truly goes by so fast,” Moser said. “If you want to get better at whatever you do, you must work hard for it and put in time outside of things that are mandatory. Your hard work over time will help in big moments.”
