The Road to The Well: Boys Basketball Beat Davenport West 97-46 on Senior Night

After another win over Davenport West on Friday, Feb. 27, the Kennedy Varsity Boys’ Basketball team continued their undefeated season. Ending the substate semi-final with a final score of 97-46, the Cougars were led by senior Colby Dolphin with 21 points, 11 rebounds from junior Micah Schlaak and eight assists from senior Kenzie Reed.

It was also a special night for the six seniors on the team. After the game, Donovan Slick-Driscoll, Micah Jauhiainen, Carter Newhouse, Tristan Steichen, Reed and Dolphin, were honored. The original senior night was scheduled for Feb. 16 against Waterloo East but was canceled due to weather conditions.

The Cougars will travel to Iowa City West on Tuesday, Feb. 28 to take on the Lancers of North Scott with a trip to the Wells Fargo Arena for the state tournament on the line. No tickets will be sold at the door. You can buy your tickets for the game here.
