Kennedy Celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week
Students pose with teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Teacher Appreciation week begins on Monday, May 2 and will conclude Friday May 6. Teacher Appreciation Week became a national holiday in 1944 as a way to honor and thank educators all over the nation. Since then teachers have been able to receive free gifts and discounts from business and students as a way of showing their appreciation for what they do.
In an email to Kennedy families, principal Jason Kline said, “I would encourage students (and parents) to consider writing a nice note or email to a teacher or two (or all) this week!”
So if you have a special teacher that goes above and beyond for your class, show them a little extra appreciation during this week.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Kennedy High School - IA. Your contribution will go towards the purchase of a new lens for our photographers.
