Girls Golf Hosts Divisional at Twin Pines

On May 10, the Kennedy girls golf team hosted the MVC Valley Divisional #1 Meet at Twin Pines Golf Course. The girls played against other local teams in their conference. The Cougars were led in scoring by Leyla Grawe, jr, Kirin Nguyen, so, Sidney Swartzendruber, fr, and Alleah Hilgendorf, sr. Cora Johansen, jr, and Elli Vaske, jr, also played in the meet.

The girls ended the meet with a team score of 385, and an MVC 27-hole score of 584. The MVC 27-hole score combines the score from the MVC Supermeet held on May 3 and the score from Divisional #1. The team is currently ranked 3rd in the Valley Division, falling behind DBQ Hempstead and IC West.

For individual scores, Kennedy is represented by Grawe, who is placed 4th overall, and Nguyen, who is ranked 15th. Grawe scored an 84 at the Divisional meet, and reps a 27-hole total of 131. Nguyen scored an even 100, and holds a total of 148 for 27 holes.

The Cougars will be back out on the greens on May 17 for MVC Divisional #2 at Irv Warren GC. The team will tee off at a shotgun of 9:00 a.m.
