Kennedy Cougars Take on the Valley Tigers
Tonight, the Kennedy Football team goes head to head with the Valley Tigers in Des Moines, Iowa. The sophomore game starts at 4:45 p.m., and the varsity game starts at 7:00 p.m.
The varsity team is currently undefeated, but Valley is ranked No. 1 in their division. To say the least, this game will be action packed.
Senior Charlie Haefner has been playing football since his freshman year, and he is now the varsity quarterback.
“We’ve had a good week of practice, we know what it takes, and we know that they’re a good team, so it’s just going to need good quarters,” said Haefner.
The varsity team won their first away game against Jefferson and last week they won their second game against Linn Mar. Tonight, they’re hoping to get their third win in a row to continue their streak.
“I’m excited to go play in their stadium because it’s college-level, and they’re a really good team, and it’s always good to play the best,” Haefner said.
