In December 1982, the first Olive Garden opened. And today it’s still delicious-i-oso.

I visited  on April 18 with my mom. We sat in the front bar-restaurant area, which seemed to be empty at 5 p.m, and happens to be the start of the dinner rush. Within the first 5 minutes we had a waiter and out our drink orders in. Not long after that we had salad and bread sticks which seemed to keep coming.

For dinner, my mom had the soup and salad. She had the Zuppa Toscana and the Chicken and Gnocchi dish. I asked her which one she liked more and she said that the Zuppa Toscana, because it was not as heavy as the other.

I had the Chicken Parmesan which is two chicken breasts fried and covered in Marinara sauce with spaghetti. My favorite part of the meal was the chicken –I got so full on this that I didn’t even eat the spaghetti.

Our waiter was attentive and polite to our needs throughout the meal, swapping out our drinks, refilling our salad bowl, and supplying new baskets of bread sticks.

Overall, I thought it was a very good restaurant, not just because of the food, but the hospitality and overall attitude of the workers.

Menu prices range from $3.49-$60. In addition to pastas, the menu includes items like Calamari and Chicken Scampi. The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m., except on Fridays and Saturdays when they are open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
