Kennedy Will Be Hosting Homeless Night October 29

Kennedy’s Student Government will be holding Homeless Night Friday, Oct. 29. The event will begin at 9 p.m. Friday night and last until 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

Homeless Night is an event that Kennedy holds to have students experience what less-fortunate people go through in Cedar Rapids. Students will create card-board box houses to sleep outside of the school and fires to keep warm.

To participate, students must donate at least $15 and fill out the participation form in room 164. All donated funds will go to local shelters.

Donating $20 or more will get you a t-shirt. Anyone who wants a t-shirt has to return the participation form by Oct. 26.

The Student Government encourages all students who plan on participating to attend the football game beforehand. This will leave students 90 minutes between the game and homeless night.
