Kennedy Varsity Football Game Canceled
The Sept. 17 Kennedy varsity football game against Jefferson was cancelled. In a statement to KCRG, Jefferson High School officials stated that the J-Hawk varsity football team will not play Friday against Kennedy due to mounting injuries and COVID-19 cases.
Due to the short notice, Kennedy coaching staff was unable to find another team to play, but the scheduled sophomore game will still kick off at 5 p.m. The next varsity game will be Thursday, Sept. 23 as the Cougars face Dubuque Senior for the Kennedy homecoming game.
