Breakfast Club breaks new attendance record
February 21, 2012
Whether you heard through a friend, the announcements, or found it on your own, almost everyone has heard of Breakfast Club. Organized by Bob and Coral Dye, Breakfast Club started in 2004 with a meager attendance of around 15 students every Friday, but that number has grown dramatically over the years, coming up to around 154 students per meeting. This year, 454 students have attended at least once, and a group of 13 students has had perfect attendance, coming to every meeting so far. The club meets most Friday mornings, from around 6:05 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. in room 70, and the majority of students come between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. The “club” is an informal club and offers the obvious—breakfast, but also some thought-provoking conversation starters. The grub comes in the form of donuts, bagels, brownies and other treats as well as some drinks.
