Raise the Roof is Back Again
On Saturday, Feb. 26, Kennedy will host one of the largest show choir events in the country, Raise the Roof. The event will take place at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse in Downtown, Cedar Rapids.
Kennedy has hosted Raise the Roof since 2005 and the fun has never stopped.
Show choirs from all over Iowa and various states come to perform at Raise the Roof. Groups from Linn-Mar, Prairie, Ankeny and many more will attend the 2022 festivities.
The day will begin with Kennedy’s Chanteurs at 8:30 a.m. and performances will continue until 5:15 p.m., at which time Happiness Inc. will take the stage. Protege will follow at 7:00 p.m. and open up finals, featuring the top six groups and will end at 10:30 p.m.
Concessions and merchandise will be available for purchase throughout the day for guests and performers. Merchandise such as buttons will be available. Kennedy students will be advertising the buttons on vests as they will be walking the premises.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Kennedy High School - IA. Your contribution will go towards the purchase of a new lens for our photographers.

This is so over priced!! Seriously 19.00 per person to watch our kid, 4.00 for a water , you have to be kidding me!! I m an it’s a fundraiser but this is ridiculous!!!! And what happened to show choir, these are plays or musical not show choir, don’t understand!!!!
