I interviewed the Freshman and show choir member, Liz Krejci. You will hear what she thought of her first week at Kennedy and about what it’s like being in Chanteurs.
Q: What did you think of your first week at Kennedy High School?
A: I thought the first week of school went well and I was glad to be back with all of my friends. I like the amount of opportunities at Kennedy and how much more freedom we have. I don’t like the amount of homework that I have compared to what I had at Harding.
Q: What are you looking forward to for this year?
A: I am looking forward to Chanteurs and being with my friends.
Q: What is your favorite subject in school?
A: My favorite subject is art, and I might want to do something related to art for a career.
Q: What activities, clubs, or organizations do you plan on getting involved in here at Kennedy?
A: I am in the show choir group, Chanteurs. I would like to maybe join some other after school activities with friends.
Q: Why did you want to join show choir?
A: I wanted to join show choir because I like to sing, dance, perform, and be a part of it with all of my friends.
Q: How time consuming is show choir?
A: I practice during school, after school on Tuesdays, & there will be occasional practices on Thursdays and Saturdays. We will be practicing a lot more once the competitions start. It’s a lot of work, but definitely worth it in the end.
`Q: How different is show choir at Kennedy from show choir at Harding?
A: Chanteurs is a lot more time consuming and competitive, so it’s harder to make it into the top show choir.
Q: What are your goals for graduating?
A: My goals are to get good grades, get involved in activities, and meet new people.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I like to hang out with friends, watch movies, and sing.
Q: If you could go anywhere, where would you go and why?
A: I would like to go to Europe because there are lots of things to do and see.
