Winter Fashion at Kennedy

Winter plays a big part in fashion due to low temperatures and necessity to be comfortable.  The trends that drives winter fashion streetwear, artistic and closet basics

“I think during winter, I like to stay warm and comfortable while still looking somewhat nice. I love wearing lots of cargo pants, and sweaters,” junior Cade Beck said.  “I love the 90’s look, big baggy clothes, and dark muted colors. I really enjoy thrifting too and that’s where I find most of my clothes.”

As the seasons change, our styles change along with them. Sometimes the cold affects how we act and portray ourselves.

“I think that personality affects style,” senior Lilly Marchbanks said. “Personally, my style changes every day, because I change every day. Style is inspired by what I see, others and how I feel. A good outfit can make a bad day great.”

Senior Lilly Marchbanks is inspired by herself, how she feels or what she sees from others. She expresses her fashion in colorful, creative clothing.

Junior Cade Beck likes to stay warm in his 90’s inspired outfits. He prefers baggy, thrifted clothing that just feels comfortable to him.

Senior Ami Jacobo layers with many different creative  outfits. They make their own pieces of clothing using the method of crochet.

The Hurt twins, represent fashion as siblings. Seniors Raiya and Trisya’s fashion starts to look alike based on closeness, they display such a healthy relationship of siblings.

For men, senior Trevan Krumeri represents closet basics. Consisting of a pair of Jeans with a flannel or a pair of sweats with a hoodie to keep warm.

Jeans with a solid colored tee is another closet basics style, represented by senior Yuna Song. In the winter, women also wear sweats to stay comfortable.
