New Digital Art Class Coming Soon

Kennedy is adding a new digital art class for the 2022-2023 school year. 

The digital arts class will explore techniques like motion graphics, digital drawing, graphic design and photo manipulation. With motion graphics, you will learn to build movie clips, trailers, commercials, title sequences, etc. Students will use visual effects, animation and other cinematic techniques to bring their creations to life. Digital drawing is much more than pen on paper. 

Outline of Course Content: 

  • Review of Elements and Principles of Design as they relate to digital art.
  • Introduction to the basic software used in the course
  • Composition
  • Careers in graphic design
  • Typographic fonts and styles
  • A variety of ways to digitize visual information
  • Evaluating art and digital media
  • Presentation of your digital art portfolio
