The Plain Brown Wrapper, or the PBW, is an editorial board of students receiving different types of arts, including poetry, non-fiction, and artwork. Members compile it all together into one magazine for Kennedy.

This year, the PBW has a new advisor, Elizebeth Nelson.

“Being the advisor for the PBW has been very exciting. I was nervous at first because I didn’t think anyone would want to join the editorial board after Mrs. Howard decided to step down, but I had a great group of students show up at the first meeting,” Nelson said.

Students and staff can submit their writing and artwork to be published in the PBW through their website here. There is currently no confirmed deadline.

“I hope that we receive lots of submissions from students and staff,” Nelson said. “It would be great if we had a balance of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry as well as artwork.”

The next meeting of the editorial board for the Plain Brown Wrapper will take place after school on Tues, March 3, from 3:10 to 3:50 in room 127. Any student who is still interested in joining the editorial board may attend. Please see Mrs. Nelson in room 127, or email her at [email protected], if there are any further questions.
