Kennedy vs. Washington Basketball
Last night the Kennedy Boys’ Basketball team took on the Warriors, one of their biggest rivals, at Washington High School.
They had a close game up until the last few seconds when Wash scored another two points, making the final score 51-55.
Players that led the team included Derrick Diggins, so., Drake Brewster, jr., Matt Berst, jr., and Matt Gardner, sr.
Diggins scored 10 total points with 4 assists and 70% made from the free throw line.
Brewster made 18 total points with 2 assists and 90% made from the free throw line.
Berst scored 5 total points with 2 steals and 2 rebounds.
Gardner scored 15 total points with 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist.
Starting off their season winning against Spirit Lake (59-50) and Xavier (62-46) and losing to Sioux City North (56-60), Ames (43-53), and Washington, they have a big season ahead of them.
