Kennedy’s varsity volleyball emerged as the winners in an away game just down the street at Xavier.

The final score of the match was three games to one, Kennedy. The Cougars won the first game at 25-19, then lost the second 25-20. They returned in the third and fourth games to win 25-18 and 25-21.

Madison Haefner, jr., who tore her ACL during warm ups at Jefferson two weeks ago, had a successful surgery on Thursday according to Kennedy’s head coach Michelle Goodall.

Although Haefner became ill and had to leave due to side effects of pain medication, and was thus unavailable to comment, Goodall stated that typical recovery time for an injury such as this is six to nine months.
