Kennedy men’s swimmers have their official start on Monday, Nov. 7, but the team captains are already individually getting ready for their first meet on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
The team’s coach, Shawn Thomsen, is in his second year with the Kennedy team. Thomsen previously coached at Washington. He said the Cougars have high hopes. “We are
looking forward to an exciting year and hope to have our first dual meet win.”
Senior swimmer Austin Schantz said they “definitely have a strong upperclassmen
presence” with their 13 returning letter winners.
After a slow start last season, the Cougars roared back to receive a 5th place in the district meet. “As a team we greatly improved,” Thomsen said.
