Senior Miles Wilson broke his own school record in the final weeks of his high school career again. Wilson, along with 17 other runners from the Kennedy Boys’ Track and Field team made their way to Des Moines to compete in the prestigious Drake Relays with some of the best high school runners in Iowa.

In the Drake Relays last year Wilson ran a 9:16.62 in the 3200, setting a school record for men in that event. A year later, on April 27, 2023, Wilson ran a 9:13.03 in the 3200, breaking his own record from last year and setting a new school record for Kennedy. Wilson who has committed to run division one at the University of Iowa next year has broken and set many school records this year alone

Wilson holds three school records at Kennedy for the 1600 and 3200 in track and field and the 5k in cross country. Wilson won the 2023 Male Athlete of the Year for his impressive career as a Kennedy athlete.
