With his teammates cheering him on from the sidelines, junior Miles Wilson surpassed an Iowa commit and took home first place, simultaneously setting the school record in the Boys’ Track and Field 3,200 meter run. The previous record was set in 1993 by Nate Barnes.

Wilson currently leads Kennedy in the 3,200, 1,600 and 800 meter runs, and has qualified for the Drake Relays for the 3,200 and 1,600. Fifteen athletes from Boys’ Track and Field will represent Kennedy at the Drake Relays in multiple events including the long jump and shuttle.

Wilson now holds two school records in both track and field and cross country. He previously placed 5th at the MVC Super Meet, surpassing Jacob Green’s junior cross country 5K time of 15:54 with his own 15:42.
