Kennedy High School’s Leadership Retreat for freshmen and sophomore would have been held on Oct. 27 at Wanatee Park, but it has been postponed. When it is happening is still undetermined.

Light breakfast items and a full lunch will be available at the retreat. Students are allowed to bring their own lunch if they prefer to. The entire day will be spent at the park, it’s indoors in case of rain. A Kennedy Leadership Retreat t-shirt will be provided to wear during the event, but students should bring weather appropriate clothing as some activities will be held outdoors.

This day will involve fun activities, great speakers, and an opportunity to learn leadership skills from professional leaders and current upper-classmen leaders. The students participating will be challenged to become a better version of themselves at this event.

If the event would not have been postponed, it would have been the first time it would have occured since COVID-19 and the derecho that took place August of 2020.
