The ACT is Coming Ready or Not
March 8, 2019
The ACT is rescheduled for March 12. Students will need to be in their assigned classes by 7:40 a.m. and stay in the classroom until 12:30 p.m. Students will need to have an ACT approved calculator, two number two pencils, and some form of identification. The identification can be your student identification card or a driver’s license.
The ACT is used for college admissions and deciding which scholarships students are eligible for. The better someone does on the ACT, the more likely that same person is to get into the college they want and will most likely get better scholarships.
One piece of advice for students to do well on the ACT is to get a good night’s sleep the night before the test. Studying 10 minutes a day will also help prepare students. Even eating a good breakfast and staying hydrated can help.
“When you feel your best, then you can do your best on the ACT,” Laurie Mead, GEAR UP-Class of 2020 leader said.
