Awarded for Academic Achievements

The class of 2019 and 2020 received awards for the Iowa Assessments test scores and the Honor Roll. The class of 2019 received their awards on Thursday, Oct. 26 and the class of 2020 received their awards on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Students were proud of their accomplishments of getting good grades and getting a good score on the Iowa Assessments. Students received awards for the 99th Percentile, 90th Percentile and above, Personal Growth on the Iowa Assessments and for getting a good GPA.
“Getting recognized for a good GPA helps show colleges that I am able to get good grades,” Abi Godsey, jr. said.
Godsey was proud of her accomplishments and felt she worked really hard to get good grades.
“When I get awards, I feel like my hard work had paid off,” Lydia Kilgore, jr. said.
Earning awards are good for college applications and scholarships.
“A piece of advice for students who want to be a part of the Honor Roll should put in enough effort to working hard,” Godsey said.
Students who plan on improving their GPA can get a grade point improvement award.
“Students should stay focused on what they want to achieve and be willing to put in hard work to reach their goals,” Kilgore said.
