Dig Pink night ends in another three straight victory for volleyball
September 29, 2015
Tonight’s “Dig Pink” volleyball game against the Jefferson J-Hawks ended in yet another three set victory for Kennedy’s varsity team.
Kennedy scored the first point in all three sets and was ahead the entire evening with the exception of a few points towards the beginning of set three. The sets ended in scores of 25-16, 25-12, and 25-21.
“One of the messages we told [the team] was don’t take anybody lightly,” assistant coach Tim Johnson said, “I thought they did a great job.”
The pink-out for breast cancer awareness was well supported, and the team as well as fans from both Kennedy and Jefferson came in pink attire. In particular, Kennedy’s student section, the Jungle, looked like a living, breathing sea of pink.
