It’s no secret that prom costs a lot of money. There are many ways that classes raise money for the special night. Some of these fundraisers include selling donuts and class tees, as well as garage sales.

With only 115 days until prom, the senior class is kicking it in full gear to raise money.

The Mr. Cougar Contest is the senior class’s final big fundraiser of the year. The candidates will be competing for the ultimate title “Mr. Cougar” in three main categories: formal wear, lounge wear, and talent. There will also be a question and answer portion.

The date is Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Admission is $5.

Although the competition is open to only senior males, all students are welcome to attend. Any senior boys who are interested in competing can go sign up with Dana Melone in room 107.

The Mr. Cougar Contest will have three celebrity judges; Pat Grady, Charity Hansel, and Joe Benedict.

“It’ll be interesting to see how it turns out,” senior class officer Fatima Elsheikh said.
